Robert Glisson is a plein air painter whose work is inspired by the landscape of Central New York. He primarily works in oil on canvas board and starts his paintings on-site. Directly responding to the scene in front of him, he initially aims to capture the luminous effects of natural light and atmosphere. However, each piece is finalized in his studio where he often exaggerates the colors and composition to reflect his interpretation of what nature reveals.
