Joerg Dressler was born in Hanau, Germany. During his childhood he travelled extensively throughout Europe. Being inspired by the vast history of European painting, he himself began painting at the age of 13. Joerg received a Masters of Arts Degree in Visual Communication from Hochschule fur Gestaltung in Offenbach, Germany in 1994. Additionally he studied at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratif in Paris, France.

Joerg moved to the States in 1996. He splits his time between Boston and Provincetown, where his studio is located. Joerg’s medium is oil on canvas—painting both landscapes and abstracts. The works are influenced by the impressionistic as well as expressionistic movements. He holds a deep admiration for ‘Die Jungen Wilden’.
